*paste eye catching title here*

....Sup?

As you can see I'm not very excited today but that's because MY SUMMER IS OVER! I have officially run out of things to do this summer. :(
I went to my concerts, went to film camp, made a movie, hung out with friends, bother my mom for money to do other things, you know! The Works! But there's nothing left to do! AND my sister left for law school today :'( It's all the way in ST LOUIS! :O can you believe that!! *insert flood of tears here*

OH NOS! D:

Do not fear though, I'll be okay. Northstar is starting soon and in a few short weeks I will be seeing my AMAZING SUPER FANTABULOUS SPLANDIFEROUS AWESOME-SAUCING Massachusetts friends. And I just cannot wait to catch up with everyone.

What else comes with the new school year...? HHHMMMM?? I guess I'll just tell you then :P The new seasons of the following: GLEE; SUPERNATURAL; SKINS and a few more I'm not quite sure of yet. SO keep an eye out for those.

That's all the news I'm full of today so I hope your day got a little better after reading my nonsense.

Much love and possibly some really awesome music,
-Sylvia <3

Summer Plans??

HIA!!!
It's Sylvia again. Aren't you getting kinda tired of me? Well if you are too bad because it seems I'm the only one who even remembers this blog anymore so I guess the only person from the whole telling our truths group you'll be hearing from is me. For the time being anyway. So how's the summer so far huh? Boring or exciting? Warm or Hot? Sitting in or Going out?! Come on don't just sit around. Use the time of to your advantage.

I know some people go to camps and stuff but I am doing so much MORE than that.

What's so special about MY summer you may ask. Well I'm Going to at least 4 concerts this summer along with attending a video camp and visiting family. And maybe a drive or 2 up to Massachusetts to hang out with those lovely people from Northstar ;)

I hope you're not going to be a boring person this summer and just hang around the house playing video games but if you are atleast have some friends over to be boring with you. :P

Live it up these next 2 months because that's all the goof-off time you get.

Love,
sylvia <3. ( Yeah i think im gonna stick with that name for a while...I like it, its catchy!)

Feel's like forever!

It feels like forever since anything had been posted so i decided to fix that! :)

I guess we've finished the 'zine...? We kind of left the class with unfinished business. which isn't as fun as it could have been because none of us will come back as ghost seeing as we are all alive and well. (i think) But we did start it if that helps =/. Fear not though because I will continue to update this blog (if that part wasn't obvious)

So on to other topics.
Just in case anyone actually cares, I have started to watch the best TV show of all time. And no it's not supernatural (insert preferred smiley face here). GLEE is the best show about high school kids I have seen so far. And before you even think it; it is NOTHING like high school musical....or mean girls. Glee is an amazing show that shows you its okay to be different. I suggest you watch it.

Thats all I'm gonna say right now because I have somewheres to be soon so i hoped you at least enjoyed this post a TEENSY bit because i have officially used up all my brain power for one day.

I love you all ( except for you. yeah you....oh you know who you are!)
--SYLVIA!! :D

................P.S., hey you^^...i was just kidding before i love you too :D

The room is being filled with false accents and happy stuff such as unicorns who ride moonbeams. So i must flee. I doubt that you got much information out of this post and your feeling kinda annoyed that you just had to take minutes out of your day to read this but you did it anyway because you love me. ( i hope you do anyway!!)

OUR WORKINGS

HEY THERE PERSON READING THIS BLOG! Heres some stuff that we wrote in class. The writing ranges from where we're from to words we don't want to here again. Even questions about being gay and stuff...wait what?!? o.OANYWAY.... here's that stuff i was talkin' about.

Words I never want to hear:

I never want to hear again that I am just confused nor that I am worthless only to be used. I am not a faggot, I am not a whore, and I am not weak for walking out the door. I never want to hear how rape is anything but sick. I never want to hear, "Hey wanna suck my dick?"
- Roxi

Where I'm From:

I am from a teenage romance, a broken condom, and broken promises. I am from my mother's womb.In Ware, NH later born in Concord. I am from the Mcdonalds Hamburger which my mother loved, later built upon stir-fry. I am from the basic belief that life rocks, and I rock.
- Purple Flower

So there are some of the things we wrote. If you enjoy them, tell us! if not, well, too bad for you. :D

WE LOVE YOU ALL ( if you want our love.)

IN THE PRESENT

Okay, before i say anything about our latest project i just wanted to let everyone know that today, Wednesday, April 21 is "To Write Love on Her Arms" day.( Write love on your arm to support this group trying to help people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.) You can see more about this here: http://www.twloha.com/

Now for the on topic part.:) Lately in our class we have been working on making very heartfelt letters into videos. Which is easier said then done. We are also working on a 'zine aforementioned in the first post. We will be handing out fliers for said 'zine at pride.

So don't be afraid to ask us questions about what we're doing. We'd be happy to answer them :P

( I have run out of things to say. So there...)

INTRODUCTIONS...

Telling Our Truths came together when I (Martina, a Hampshire Student) came to North Star (a community center of sorts for youth 13-18 yrs old who are no longer attending traditional school) to find out about teaching a class. That day I met a bunch of North Star youth interested in talking about alternative sexualities and identities.

We came together around the idea of making a 'Zine (mini-magazine) for and by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Same-gender loving, Queer, Questioning and Pansexual youth, as well as Allies!

I soon found out that this group, like any group of young people, are phenomenal writers - I asked them to write about where they are from, the words they never want to hear about, and a letter to a person, thing, or place about something they were never able to tell them about themselves. We're now working on short videos, putting images to those letters.

These are our stories, our truths, our lives. They intersect, they diverge, they are lonely, and they are full, so full. Our bodies are full of paths that converge, break, fork, and mold together; bodies that have been broken, hardened, left; bodies that hug, hold, love, yell, dance, laugh. No matter how they look, our bodies are full of paths that take us somewhere.

Here are some of our stories:
